Here is a great story as reported on NBC’s Today Show Monday, July 11th, 2011.  Forty-three year old Anita Mills lost a total of 240 lbs. with no fancy programs, gimmicks or drugs.

Anita weighed 382 lbs.  Her doctor told her if she continued along this path, she would cut her lifespan by 20 years.  Those words resonated with Anita.  Her doctor gave her simple advice:

– Eat 8 ounces. of food every three hours.  Depending on what the food was, it had to weigh less than 8 ounces or have a volume of less than 8 ounces.

– No sugary drinks.

– Do not skip a three hour meal.

– Dont tell anyone what you are doing.

Anita followed this advice.  In addition, she walked two miles during her lunch hour and worked out with a Richard Simmons video in the evening.  She lost over 200 lbs. in a 13-month period.

Simple plan.  Wonderous results.  Nothing fancy or expensive.  Sister’s favorite advice from her doctor is the last point.  Don’t tell anyone what you are doing.  This eliminates all kinds of looks, comments and bad vibes.  More power to you, Anita!!!
