For example, the American College of Sports Medicine recommends a moderate activity for 150-250 minutes per week to prevent weight gain.  That equals to about 20 minutes seven days per week.  The American Heart Association recommends at least 30 minutes per day five days per week of moderate activity or 20 minutes per day, three days per week of vigorous activity to maintain health.  The Department of Health and Human Services recommends a minimum of 150 minutes a week for health benefits.  Are you still reading?

There is a quest amongst researchers to find the magic amount of exercise that will make us all healthy, happy and not fat.  Frankly, Sister thinks it is all too confusing.  Sister’s mantra has always been and will always be, “anything you do is better than nothing at all.”  Simple.  Clear. Concise.  That, my friends, is what life is all about.

So let’s get going girlfriends!

Today’s workout:  Stretch 45 minutes.  Elliptical trainer – 30 minutes. Strength training – major muscle groups.  Dog walking – 30 minutes.  Sister is not sure if all this adds up to moderate, vigorous or what….She’s just feeling good from the inside out.
