Scientists at the University of Montreal looked at the effects of exercise on brain activity of babies during pregnancy. In a nutshell, the brain activity of babies whose mom’s exercised an average of 117 minutes of moderate activity per week showed a more mature pattern of activity than those babies whose mom remained sedentary throughout their pregnancy when measured at 8-12 days post-partum. 117 minutes equals to about 16 minutes of walking per day. Think about that! What magic can occur from so little time investment!
