My favorite clients are those who have a history of not being successful but are willing to try a different approach.
The act of physical activity, while not being as simple as swallowing a pill from a bottle, can be like a wonder drug. I believe when you add movement into your life, other areas in your life will begin to positively shift. If you have been inactive for a long time or if you believe that you can never be one of those “active people” but are willing to try a different approach, I would love to speak with you.
Here is a bit about my background:
I have been actively creating health and fitness programs for over 25 years. I specialize in developing programs for individuals who struggle to find their own active life. Through engaging conversation, education and humorous anecdotes, my clients learn the what, the why and most importantly, the how of fitting physical activity into their life. I believe that an active life is the cornerstone into becoming your best self.
I am no stranger to the fitness industry. I began with a degree in physical education and began my entrepreneurial journey as a small business owner teaching fitness class. After completing my master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Southern California, I served as program director for Pritikin Programs, Inc., an innovative medical fitness and lifestyle company which integrated medical and fitness services with a staff of doctors, exercise physiologists and registered dieticians. I later provided health and fitness services to companies including the American Heart Association, the Los Angeles Times, United Airlines and Good Samaritan Hospital. My clinical experience includes working as the exercise physiologist for the Pasadena Rehabilitation Center where I managed and prescribed exercise programs for chronic pain patients including those with fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, low back pain and autoimmune disorders.
I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and I am a Certified Health and Wellness Coach by Wellcoaches®, Inc. I am also a credentialed provider for the American College of Sports Medicine’s Exercise is Medicine ™ program, a respected program aimed at connecting physicians with top health and fitness providers.
Can I help you?
- Do you want to become more active but have not been successful in the past?
- Has your doctor told you to start exercising?
- Do you want to feel better about yourself?
- Are you willing to look at physical activity in a whole new way?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, I can help you begin a program that meets you where you are with activities that “fit” you.
